CM Limburg’s new headquarters in Hasselt, designed by Archipelago, is a model of sustainable and flexible construction. The building is designed with a modular structure, which facilitates future adaptations and rearrangements. This flexibility allows CM Limburg to respond to changing needs and ensures efficient use of space.
Inside the building there is a central route that winds through the office like a tree, which not only promotes circulation but also encourages informal meetings. This “spina” connects different workspaces and provides a pleasant working environment.
The design emphasizes the well-being of the users, with spacious staircases and wooden floors that invite movement and exploration of different atmospheres within the building. There are also large terraces overlooking the nearby Demerpark, contributing to a healthy and comfortable working environment.
The building is designed with sustainability and energy efficiency in mind. It seeks certifications such as WELL Building Standard and BREEAM, which recognize the building’s attention to end-user well-being and environmental performance.
De Klerck Engineering is responsible for the building techniques, EPB and ventilation reporting and stability of this project, using our expertise to create a building that is both functional and sustainable.
