In cooperation with the new day center on the Willebroek campus, the Wille Wolle nursery was realized. This project came about after a large part of the hospital activities of the Sint-Jozef hospital were moved to Bornem. Since the existing hospital buildings from 1985 were outdated, it was decided to demolish and construct an energy-efficient new building that would house both the day center and the necessary childcare facilities.
The integration of the childcare and daycare center into one compact building offered an efficient and sustainable solution for the Willebroek region, where there was a high demand for additional childcare capacity. The choice for new construction proved significantly more cost-effective and energy-efficient than renovating the aging hospital building.
The design of the nursery provides a modern, safe and comfortable environment for the children, with attention to sustainability and functionality. The building meets contemporary requirements for energy performance while providing the necessary space and amenities for both children and staff.
